Your contributions will be instrumental in ensuring accurate high-quality documentation for U.S. Army equipmentincluding Light Medium and Heavy Tactical Vehiclesdriving our mission of delivering reliable and mission-critical resources to our armed forces. Roles and Responsibilities:
- Review Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) and paper Technical Manual (TM) Work Packages for accuracy
- Edit XML and graphic files when necessary
- Attend Team meetings internally and with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) as required
- Log comments related to the IETM or TM and submit them to OEM for changes
- Track review progress and deficiencies in SharePoint
- Travel is required for this position (50-70%)
- This is a TEMPORARY POSITION until September 29th 2026 with possibility of becoming permanent
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in an applicable technical field (an additional 8 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree)
- 5 years technical writing/editing experience
- Experience with XML authoring and editing for Technical Manuals
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) and Security Clearance to be considered for position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Interactive Authoring and Display System (IADS) viewer for Electronic Interactive Technical Manual (IETM)
- Knowledge of the Validation and Verification processes for Army Technical Manual development and fielding
- Experience using editing and creating IETMs and paper Technical Manuals
- Familiarity with mechanical drawings and data
- Willing to learn new things and to pass knowledge on to others
- A Team Player teamwork is an essential requirement for this position
