Job Summary

The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for ensuring a steady flow of material for processing. Employee will receive training to be able to safely operate a Front End Loader and Yard Trucks and learn how to use these pieces of equipment to mix raw materials unload and load product to meet production goals. Employee responsible for keeping area clean and working safely in a production environment.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Operates yard and plant equipment to load materials Maintains raw material mixture at proper moisture content.
• Maintains contact with operator to ensure most efficient drying rate.
• Performs daily maintenance on loader before each shift.
• Washes plant equipment vehicles and processing areas as necessary using high pressure power washer.
• Performs general cleaning as needed in work areas.
• Keeps area clean; raw materials piled out of driving area.
• Maintains safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.

WORK SCHEDULE

This full-time manufacturing job works 5 days per week 2nd shift Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:30pm. This plant operates 24/7 and the flexibility to work days nights or weekends as needed is required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience in loader operation and maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic math skills; ability to add subtract multiply and divide whole numbers.
• Good oral and written skills; able to follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed.

Physical Demands

• Frequently required to walk stand sit climb balance stoop kneel crawl and crouch.
• Occasionally must push pull move or lift up to 50 lbs.
• Regularly required reach with hands and arms.

Work Environment

Job functions will be carried out in a production facility which requires tolerance for high heat and/or cold temperatures.
