Job Summary

A vacancy has arisen for a Cpl (RAFP) to serve as HQ JNCO RAFP Instructor 1 on 2622 Sqn RAuxAF RAF Lossiemouth on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS) with an initial proposed start date of 15 June 2026 (or earlier/later subject to candidate status). Any potential candidates are to be made aware that with the creation of 4PSW this position will be moved onto B Flt 3502 Sqn RAuxAF RAF Lossiemouth and renamed 4PSW JNCO TRG (as yet date unknown).

As part of No 4 (RAuxAF) RAF Police & Security Wing regular and FTRS SNCO and JNCO training posts will report directly to the Wg HQ but reside at current locations. The post holder will be part of a regional trg team that will provide and co-ordinate regional training to RAF Police Reserves; in this specific case to those who are located in LOS EDI and AFS and support Ph 2 RAFP Reserves trg at HON and EDI as required. The post holder will train RAF Police Reserves to support regular RAF activity in delivering utility to ASF and where directed to support UK and overseas operations and exercises.

The post holder will also be required to ensure that RAF Police Reserves are in date with mandatory RAF qualifications and liaise with CRF and Stn FPFT staffs to co-ordinate any MOD or weapons training as will need to possess strong communication and organisational skills have a confident and dynamic manner and be comfortable engaging with both military and civilian personnel in various environments.

Their primary duties will include:

  • The coordination and management of Phase 2 and continuation trg (Phase 3) for RAFP Reserves at LOS EDI and AFS.
  • Support to Sqn PTVRs through Phase 1 Trg and preparation prior to attending Ex GRIFFIN ENDEAVOUR (RAFP Ph 2 trg).
  • Plan and facilitate all mandated trg for RAF Police Reserves and ensure all RAF Police Reserves trg databases are maintained.
  • Conduct PPST and be a PPST UI for the region which includes PPST support to regular RAF Police personnel when required.
  • Engagement with the Wg HQ Ops team regarding opportunities for RAF Police Reserves to gain and maintain SQEP in order to fulfil the requirements of the CONEMP.
  • Monitor and maintain all RAF Police training resources and PPE.
