As part of the Sensors team based in Burnsville Minnesota - The Design Engineering Intern will participate in the mechanical design test and troubleshooting of various types of sensors for the aviation industry. Tasks will be part of a team effort that will be focused on the design of new products as well as support of current manufacturing. This is a great opportunity to learn fundamental principles of the aviation industry gain experience in multidisciplinary technology development regulations and gain experience in presenting technical information. This position is onsite in Burnsville MN. This role may be eligible for relocation.
What You Will Do:
- You will assist in developing of data and makes layouts sketches and notes for design proposals.
- You will participates in investigation of pertinent design factors such as ease of manufacture availability of materials and equipment interchangeability replace ability strength-weight efficiency and contractual specification requirements and cost.
- You will assist in designing developing and testing metallic or non-metallic structures or materials and their related fabrication processes for use in engineering designs.
What You Will Learn:
- You will learn about designs of major components or major portions of functional systems technically advanced prototypes and promotional or specific products using computer design and engineering systems.
- You will gain knowledge in developing and improving products and facilitates in manufacturing operations.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelors or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen permanent resident or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: We Prefer:
- Degree in Mechanical and/or Aerospace Engineering with strong academic record and interest in mechanical design testing and troubleshooting.

The salary range for this role is 37000 USD - 82000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
