Job Summary

Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Materials Testing this role you will work with engineers and technicians to perform daily tasks related to non-metallic and metallic materials testing including sample preparation test setup testing and reporting. This opportunity will give you invaluable on the job experience and exposure to the materials testing field.

Salary: $21- 23$/hr DOE

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of physical property testing including but not limited to; tensile compression flexural hardness thermal conductivity flammability water absorption vapor transmission color gloss adhesion weld macros charpy sample etching hardness and microhardness etc.
Prepare and analyze samples for testing primarily in the non-metallic department with crossover into the metallic department as available
Interpret data review and report testing results
Assist testing engineers with tasks as needed

Skills / Qualifications

Working toward a Bachelors or Associate degree in the field of Materials Science or related field
Excellent communication skills
Willingness to learn and participate in testing within a laboratory setting
