The 4 year 8000-hour program will require on the job training on all shifts in all plant locations and will also include successful completion of required classes (50 credit hours) at Muskegon Community College that will be paid for by the company but will be taken outside of working hours and will be unpaid time.
Apprentices will be formally evaluated every 1000 hours. Continued participation in the apprentice program will be based upon acceptable job and academic performance.
Apprentices will establish department seniority upon entering the program. Upon completion of the program and becoming a Toolmaker this departmental seniority will be used in lieu of plant seniority for shift preference purposes.
Requirements:
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident U.S. Citizen have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e. a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
