A hospital is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic examinations with minimal supervision. The role requires strong technical skills the ability to work independently and experience in fast-paced environments including the Emergency Department Trauma and Operating Room.
Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations using proper positioning immobilization devices and technical factors
Operate radiographic equipment safely and efficiently for routine trauma and emergency procedures
Perform portable X-ray exams in patient rooms operating rooms and the emergency department
Restrict radiation exposure using appropriate collimation and radiation safety practices
Accurately identify and label patient images with correct markers and identifiers
Prepare and assist with administration of radiopaque contrast media as needed
Maintain clean organized X-ray rooms and equipment
Complete patient requisitions and maintain accurate imaging documentation
Assist patients with positioning transfers and mobility needs
Adapt care to meet the needs of diverse patient populations including pediatrics
Adhere to hospital policies procedures and organizational competencies
Minimum 2 years of recent experience in an acute care facility
Ability to work independently in:
Emergency Room
Trauma cases
Operating Room
Strong experience with:
Portable imaging
Pediatric patients
High School Diploma or equivalent
Completion of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program
Completion of required clinical training and ARRT eligibility
Active New Jersey State Radiologic Technologist License (Required)
ARRT certification or eligibility required
Ability to lift at least 5 lbs. push/pull 10 lbs.
Ability to stand for extended periods (minimum 6 hours/day)
