Frasers Group are currently looking for a Senior Backend Engineer for Digital Data Squad to join our growing IT function and work as part of an enthusiastic motivated and delivery focused agile team. This role is hybrid with 3 days onsite at our Shirebrook HQ and 2 days at home
Key Responsibilities
- Working on all aspects of our state of the art inhouse developed ecommerce platform. Our platform runs over 50 websites - including some of the biggest names in Retail
- Providing innovative fast and reliable websites by building robust interconnected data applications and services that serves large quantities of data
- Developing on the backend mostly with data related systems with a range of exciting technologies
- Managing the full software development lifecycle ensuring appreciation of quality assurance continuous integration/delivery and the benefits of automation
- Designing developing and testing fast scalable and architecturally robust solutions
- Staying up to date with the latest technology and industry trends continuously looking for ways to apply them for our benefit
Qualifications :
We are looking for proven experience with -
- .Net Core (C#)
- Relational (Sql Server/Oracle) and NoSQL databases
- Microservices & distributed systems architecture
- Cloud Experience
- 5 years experience in a similar role
Desirable
- Azure
- Terraform
- MongoDB
- REST Api design
- GraphQL
- gRPC
- Search Engines: ElasticSearch/Algolia/Typesense or similar
- Distributed Caching e.g Redis
