- During your assignment you will implement integrate and evaluate cutting-edge algorithms along the complete stack of an Automated Driving System focusing on perception or function and planning modules.
- The technological focus will be on Machine Learning including End-to-End systems and Foundation Models such as Vision Language Models (VLM) and Vision Language Agents (VLA).
- Your algorithms will run in real time on a prototype test vehicle.
- In addition you will realize a system-driven evaluation in a system-in-the-loop simulation and on defined reference tracks.
- Last but not least you will work in an agile and diverse research team.
Qualifications :
- Education: Master studies in the field of Computer Science Robotics Engineering or comparable with excellent grades
- Experience and Knowledge: excellent programming skills in Python and C; knowledge of ROS and Machine Learning libraries is a strong plus
- Personality and Working Practice: you are a highly motivated flexible team player
- Languages: fluent in English and ideally good in German
Additional Information :
Start: according to prior agreement
Duration: 3 - 6 months
Optionally we can support an internship preceding the offered thesis. This option would allow you to gather a still broader understanding in the field of automated driving.
