Software Engineer Intern (Backend)

We are seeking a Backend Software Engineer Intern to join us in scaling our platform digitalising businesses across Asia uplifting rider livelihoods and building a hyper-convenient experience for our customers. Responsibilities

• Gain exposure by working in a cross-functional product team to design and build backend services that support our products across global and APAC markets.
• Learn and apply modern backend development practices including building APIs and services that power customer-facing applications.
• Assist in developing maintaining and improving scalable backend systems and services.
• Understand and apply software design principles (e.g. SOLID) and common backend design patterns.
• Write clean testable scalable and maintainable code in accordance with company standards and best practices.
• Contribute to backend features that run on a high-scale technology platform serving millions of users.
• Gain first-hand experience in building testing and operating distributed systems in a production environment.
• Collaborate with engineers product managers and other stakeholders to deliver reliable solutions.

Qualifications :

• Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related technical field.
• Prior internship experience in product e-commerce or technology companies is a plus but not required.
• Exposure to backend development concepts such as APIs databases and server-side programming.
• Basic understanding of software design patterns design principles software architecture and testing methodologies (unit integration functional).
• Familiarity with relational databases and basic data modeling concepts is a plus.
• Highlight any side projects coursework or personal projects youve built this helps us understand your interests and passion for backend engineering.
• Passionate about software development problem-solving and learning new technologies.
• Good communication skills in English both written and spoken.
