In collaboration with the CEAA leadership team the incumbent defines and drives the target vision for data and artificial intelligence to support operations. The person standardizes architectural patterns (Azure Snowflake RAG/LLM) orchestrates robust data pipelines and ensures strong governance to enable the secure industrialization of AI solutions within operational systems. The incumbent also acts as a cross-functional reference between the CEAA the IT department and external partners to accelerate deployment while reducing technical debt.
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the target data and AI architecture plan (target state transition roadmap principles standards) from initiation to postdeployment.
- Translate business needs and strategic orientations into appropriate data and AI solutions balancing short-term requirements with long-term vision.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for AI start-ups and external partners ensuring clarity of requirements architectural alignment and delivery governance.
- Lead technical workshops with external partners on solution design security and privacy constraints integration patterns deployment approach and operational readiness.
- Standardize ingestion transformation automation and monitoring patterns and establish foundations for AI model operations (MLOps/LLMOps).
- Evaluate proposals proofs of concept and deliverables from partners including impacts on the target architecture compliance and long-term maintainability.
- Ensure structured knowledge transfer to internal teams including architectural decisions ownership of code and configurations runbooks and operational procedures.
Qualifications :
- Masters degree in computer science engineering or any related field.
- A minimum of ten years of experience in information technology including at least five years in data or solution architecture.
- Strong experience in modelling and technical documentation (architecture diagrams workflows use cases).
- Indepth understanding of cloud environments service interfaces orchestration security integration and architectural design patterns.
- Proven ability to diagnose secure and optimize solutions in production with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated transversal leadership clear communication skills and strong operational awareness (quality reliability compliance).
- Oral and written fluency in French and English *A good knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent will be required to communicate and collaborate frequently in English both orally and in writing with colleagues customers and other stakeholders in Quebec the rest of Canada and internationally.
