About the role:

Were currently seeking a Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team at St Vincents Private Hospital Brisbane on a casual basis. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist or provisionally registered Psychologist who is looking for flexible work opportunities within a supportive and cohesive private hospital environment providing psychological support to our patients their families and employees as required.

Your duties will include:

Provide education and support to inpatients on an individual and group basis

Design and implement relevant educational content for patients
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and in-services

Things that work for us:

  • Registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) as a Psychologist. Provisionally registered candidates must have own arrangements for clinical supervision requirements.

  • Advanced skills knowledge and experience in treating patients with chronic pain and/or rehabilitation

  • Excellent interpersonal time management and communication skills

  • Ability tomaintaincollaborative and effective relationships with all multidisciplinary team members

  • Ability to provide clinical practice and care consistent with the mission and philosophy of the facility

  • Ability to plan and coordinate patient/resident/client care effectivelymaintainpatient advocacy and utilise patient management systems

  • Ability toparticipatein and support education activities and to contribute to the development of self and other team members with experience in running group- based pain management programs preferred
