Job Summary
- Data Analyst (Junior/Entry Level) working within Jetstar Technology Data and Analytics
- Working on challenging and exciting initiatives with a forward-thinking team
- 12-month role based at our Collingwood head office (hybrid working options available)
The Data Analyst reports into the Data Science Chapter Lead and will support the Data Analytics team within Jetstar by conducting foundational data analysis developing SQL queries and Power BI reports to support business domains.
This entry-level role provides an excellent opportunity to develop technical and analytical skills whilst contributing to data-driven decision making across the organisation.
The Data Analyst will work under guidance to extract transform and visualise data ensuring data quality and supporting stakeholders with timely and accurate reporting. This role is ideal for graduates or early-career professionals looking to build a career in data analytics within a dynamic aviation environment.
This position offers exposure to various business domains and provides a structured learning environment to develop technical and analytical capabilities.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborating with stakeholders to identify reporting needs and provide actionable insights
- Translate business questions into analytical requirements
- Provide ongoing support for existing reports and dashboards
- Respond to ad-hoc data requests in a timely manner
- Communicate findings clearly to non-technical audiences
- Build strong working relationships with business stakeholders
- Build Power BI reports and dashboards based on stakeholder requirements
- Consolidate and maintain existing reports ensuring consistency and accuracy
- Develop data models within Power BI including relationships and calculated measures
Youll have:
- Bachelors degree (or currently completing) in a quantitative discipline such as statistics mathematics computer science engineering information systems or related field
- Relevant certifications in SQL Power BI or data analytics (desirable)
- 0-2 years of relevant work experience in data analysis business intelligence or related field
- Internship or academic project experience involving data analysis SQL and visualisation
- Exposure to working with large datasets and business intelligence tools
- Experience supporting stakeholders with data and reporting (desirable)
