Quality Inspector

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality Inspector.

Responsibilities:

• Examine welds for piece parts and products during any part of the manufacturing process looking for surface defects such as cracks incomplete or defective welds pits paint and fabrication problems etc.
• Compare product with print to verify accurate dimensions and completion of product.
• Reject defective parts tracking and documenting results.
• Work with management to implement new quality processes by training and mentoring.
• Complete non-conformity reports and ensure they are submitted for necessary design corrections.
• Assist with continuous process improvement and lean initiatives by following process flow remaining flexible to complete tasks as part of a team maintaining a clean working environment and offering suggestions for improvement.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of product and welding process.
• Technically capable of processing data and variables of a mechanical nature including complicated instructions blue prints measuring devices paint processes computer reports and data entry.
• Visual acuity to discern small lettering weld defects and ability to differentiate shadows.
• Ability to work in a variety of positions including kneeling crouching bending twisting turning and occasional climbing.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate with people from a wide variety of backgrounds.
• Ability to work in a team setting with all levels of the organization.

Additional Job Information:

• Wage Expectations: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
• Pay: This is a non-exempt hourly position and employees are paid on a bi-weekly basis
• Typical Schedule: Four (4) Ten (10) hour days M-F Overtime may be available on your 5th day of the week and/or Saturdays
