Job Summary
Are you a hands-on mechanical professional looking for a stable long-term career with a leading distribution company Pronto! Staffing is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Technician for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Denton. This role is perfect for someone with a strong mechanical background who enjoys troubleshooting and keeping automation systems running at peak performance.
Pay Rate:$18.00 per hour Shift Details:
Training: Monday Friday 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
Permanent Schedule: Monday Thursday (4:00 PM 1:30 AM) & Friday (4:00 PM 8:00 PM)
Flexibility: Must be open to mandatory overtime including Saturdays (3:00 PM 11:30 PM) when required.
What You Will Do:
Perform essential repairs and preventative maintenance on building systems and facility equipment.
Troubleshoot and maintain automated conveyor systems and rolling equipment.
Assist with specialized tasks involving electrical plumbing pneumatics and lighting.
Monitor equipment daily to minimize downtime and ensure safety.
Operate floor scrubbers and maintain warehouse balers and printers.
What You Need to Qualify:
Experience: Proven maintenance experience is required.
Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of PLCs electrical systems plumbing pneumatics and conveyor repair.
Abilities: Mechanical aptitude basic computer skills and proficiency with power tools.
Physical/Safety: Ability to work at heights or in tight spaces; basic forklift skills are a plus.
Compliance: Must pass a drug screen and background check (no theft or violent charges).
Uniform & Safety:
Casual dress (Jeans and T-shirt).
Steel-toe boots are required.
