Job Summary

The Assistant/Associate Director of Financial Aid supports the administration of federal state institutional and private financial aid programs while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. This role manages financial aid applications from file creation and verification through awarding and notification counsels prospective and current students on aid options and procedures assists with federal and private loan origination and certification administers Federal Work Study and scholarship awards monitors Perkins loan records and supports reporting and audit activities. The position also handles daily operational responsibilities including responding to in-person phone mail and email inquiries; maintaining financial aid files; providing coverage in the Directors absence; and participating in orientations and open house events. Additional duties include SEVIS processing for international students serving as Tuition Exchange Administrator coordinating the bi-annual Drug Free Workplace/Drug Prevention Program review and issuing exit interview instructions to withdrawn students. As part of the shared front counter staff the position provides broad administrative and business office support such as greeting visitors issuing IDs and keys processing work orders and room reservations assisting with tuition payments and student account inquiries and supporting campus services. To be successful in this role you will have knowledge of financial aid regulations; strong customer service skills with a friendly welcoming demeanor; effective written and oral communication skills; and strong organizational abilities. You must be able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment perform detailed work accurately and maintain strict confidentiality of applicant and student records. Proficiency in using databases and Microsoft Office Suite products is required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree required.
  • Minimum three years of experience in Financial Aid required.
Compensation:
The estimated pay range for this position is $62500-$72500 annually. The title and pay rate offered will be based on the successful candidates relevant experience knowledge skills and abilities and in consideration of internal equity.
