Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Compensation:
Weekly Gross: $2530
W2 Rate: $18/hour
Stipend: $1855/week
Local Pay: $54/hour
Position Summary:
The Registered Ultrasound Technologist performs high-quality diagnostic ultrasound procedures in a radiology department setting. This role requires strong technical expertise excellent patient care skills and adherence to established imaging protocols and professional guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and ACR guidelines.
Prepare patients for examinations and explain procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation.
Operate ultrasound equipment safely and effectively to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to ensure accurate imaging results.
Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and patient care.
Ensure compliance with safety infection control and quality assurance standards.
Provide compassionate patient care and support throughout examinations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of imaging rooms and equipment.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
ARDMS registration required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
Breast ultrasound experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of ultrasound procedures and ACR guidelines.
Excellent communication and patient care skills.
Proficiency with basic computer applications (e.g. Word Outlook).
