Job Summary
NewGen Technologies is seeking a VMware Platform Management Engineer to join a partners team in Washington D.C.
Active Top Secret required
Hybrid Remote
Duration: 7 months
VMware Platform Management Install configure and support vSphere (8.x) NSX T/NSX V vSAN and related services.
Hyper Converged Systems Experience with DellEMC VxRail and PowerFlex clusters (preferred) including capacity planning health monitoring and firmware upgrades.
Storage Operations Manage block and file storage solutions (Dell/EMC preferred) perform LUN provisioning file system administration and data protection tasks.
Network Integration Configure and maintain top of rack (ToR) switches VLANs and NA IP routing required for virtual networking and storage traffic.
Automation & Scripting Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks (preferred) for provisioning patching and compliance tasks.
Security & Hardening Apply DISA STIGs and vendor specific hardening guides to both hardware and software components; conduct regular vulnerability scans and remediation.
Documentation & Collaboration Produce clear run books change control records and knowledge base articles; partner with cross functional teams (application security networking) to resolve incidents and implement projects.
