Role Summary We are seeking an energetic self-starter Scrum Master to provide leadership and hands-on support across Agile delivery teams within Enterprise Information Technology partnering closely with GSM&WS Value Team. Operating at global scale in 130 countries this role leads the adoption and disciplined execution of Agile practices drives continuous improvement and enables teams to deliver measurable value aligned to enterprise outcomes. The Scrum Master is accountable for team health delivery flow and stakeholder alignment and acts as a servant leader coach and change agent.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Agile Delivery and Practices
Serve as Scrum Master for one or more cross-functional teams; ensure consistent effective application of Agile frameworks (Scrum Kanban).
Orchestrate core ceremonies (planning daily stand-up review retrospective) and backlog refinement to optimize flow and outcomes.
Establish working agreements clarify roles and safeguard Agile principles to maintain team focus and quality.
Remove impediments proactively; coordinate with dependent teams/functions to unblock delivery.
Drive Continuous Improvement and Team Health
Use data-driven insights to improve cycle time throughput quality and predictability.
Implement experiments (e.g. WIP limits refined DoD/DoR automation CI/CD optimizations) and scale successful practices.
Promote transparency and accountability; mentor team members in growth mindsets and Agile mastery.
Stakeholder Engagement and Alignment
Facilitate clear communication across Product Management Engineering Quality Compliance and Operations.
Align teams to product vision customer outcomes and quarterly objectives; ensure dependencies and risks are visible and managed.
Provide concise outcome-focused updates to leadership; escalate systemic blockers and negotiate viable paths forward.
Metrics Reporting and Tooling
Define and maintain actionable metrics (e.g. velocity trends flow efficiency defects deployment frequency) to inform decisions.
Ensure effective use of Agile tooling (e.g. Jira Confluence) and establish standards for data quality.
Translate insights into recommendations for prioritization capacity planning and release readiness.
Coaching Training and Change Enablement
Coach Product Managers on backlog quality slicing and value hypothesis; mentor engineers on collaborative delivery practices.
Facilitate workshops on Agile fundamentals advanced facilitation and DevSecOps ways of working.
Contribute to the Agile community of practice; share learnings playbooks and reusable assets across teams.
Support enterprise change initiatives to mature Agile/Lean practices and elevate organizational agility.
Must-Have Qualifications
Bachelors degree in IT Engineering Computer Science or related field.
5 years experience in large complex IT delivery environments with 3 years as a Scrum Master or Agile facilitator.
Deep working knowledge of Scrum and Kanban with demonstrable success improving delivery flow and team outcomes.
Solid understanding of SDLC product delivery and Agile portfolio practices; experience with CI/CD and quality automation principles.
Proven ability to manage diverse stakeholders coach cross-functional teams and resolve conflicts constructively.
Strong facilitation communication and problem-solving skills; adept at removing impediments and driving accountability.
Proficiency with Agile tools (e.g. Jira) metrics and data-driven continuous improvement.
Familiarity with MVP and build-measure-learn principles; experience guiding hypothesis-driven development.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have)
Experience supporting procurement-related scrums or GSM product lines (e.g. supplier onboarding contract lifecycle lease management workflows).
Working knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and compliance considerations.
Exposure to experience design practices and advanced analytics in a product delivery context.
Hands-on familiarity with DevSecOps approaches and modern engineering practices.
Relevant certifications (e.g. CSM PSM SASM ICP-ACC ICP-ATF KMP).
