How youll contribute

A Registered Nursewho excels in this role:

Performs plan-of-care interventions including medication administration specimen collection clinical treatments and other medical care activities.
Documents patient care provided in a timely and accurate manner.
Monitors records and communicates patient condition to the care team physicians patients and families.
Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers discharges referrals psychosocial/spiritual support).
Assesses learning needs and delivers age/culture-appropriate patient/family education.
Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
Participates in performance improvement and required continuing education.
Provides quality patient care and works other shifts/units as needed; may take on-call assignments.

What were looking for

The right candidate will manage the daily operations of the assigned department or function to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives.

Applicants should have a current VA RN license or compact state

Bachelors degree preferred but not required

Additional requirements include:

American Heart Association Basic Life Support required

Experience in acute care hospital preferred
