Credit Manager

We are seeking a qualified Credit Manager like YOU to join our team!

Headquartered in Quakertown Pa we have serviced our customers for over 45 years as a full-line specialty metals service center and processer.

To meet the needs of our growing Company we are expanding our team! We are looking for a Credit Manager who is confident making credit decisions comfortable negotiating with large customers and experienced managing collections. This role requires strong verbal and written communication skills a solid understanding of credit collections risk management and working knowledge of state and federal laws related to collection activities. The ideal candidate brings leadership experience and the ability to confidently guide decisions across departments.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

* Manage and oversee customer credit terms limits and conditions across multiple accounts and projects

* Collaborate with Sales and Sales Management to increase business by identifying opportunities (including customer visitation) through new and existing customer base

*Verify new customer credit applications including credit references that were secured and any additional documentation is present to determine credit worthiness of new customers.

* Analyze and manage large customer accounts (exceeding $100k) and ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (liens bondsetc)

* Review collection reports to identify and track large accounts that have been deemed delinquent. Monitor status of collection and balances outstanding to evaluate effectiveness of current collection policies and procedures.

*Review existing customer accounts update credit references and make adjustments to credit terms and credit limits as necessary.

* Audit A/R for compliance using confirmations on a monthly basis via random sampling.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Associates or Bachelors degree in a business or finance related field plus 4 years of working experience in a credit and collection environment. Experience in the metals service industry is preferred and will be considered a strong asset in this role.
