Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director Credit Risk Management the Manager Client Accounts Management is responsible for leading a team of Client Accounts Specialists in collection of past due payments and other covenant breaches. The position is also responsible for ensuring high cure rates leveraging workout options improving efficiencies and processes and implementing strategies to improve the financial literacy of our clients.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage and provide support to the Client Accounts Management collections team.
  • Improve and further develop current system capabilities.
  • Accountable for department cure and arrears rate performance.
  • Lead team huddles and encourage active participation.
  • Develops and implements a strategic and operational plan that ensures business development efficiency and overall productivity that results in meeting business targets.
  • Manages staff and handles all management related issues including performance evaluations salary recommendations hiring and distribution of workloads.
  • Ensures that audit/compliance procedures are in place and are always adhered
  • Provides operational support by identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities in streamlining workflows within Risk Management.
  • Actively engaged in digitization of Risk Management.

Qualifications & Experience:

Degrees Diplomas & Certifications:

  • The position requires a college/university degree or an equivalent level of education and work experience.

Years and Range of Experience Required to Perform the Job:

  • This position requires a minimum of 5 years of mortgage collections experience within the mortgage or financial services industries.
  • Two years of leadership experience in the collection and enforcement of delinquent loans.
  • In depth knowledge of mortgage collections processes and governing regulations across all provinces in Canada.
  • Proven success communicating and dealing with clients lawyers and 3rd party vendors with effective conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Positive track record of portfolio and workflow management.
  • Strong leadership skills including the ability to impact and influence change; Skilled in managing people effectively delegate responsibility where appropriate.
  • Proven success assembling coaching motivating and empowering an effective
