What youll be doing

  • Design / modify process automation and manufacturing equipment
  • Lead multiple projects with minimal supervision
  • Prepare estimates for various tasks and projects
  • Lead capital projects both directly and through coordinating engineers
  • Drive Continuous Improvement Activities
  • Collaborate with plant and corporate groups as well as contractors and vendors
  • Run start-up debug and commission new manufacturing processes
  • Equipment life cycle management including: upgrades replacement and decommissioning
  • Provide technical support to facilities and process related equipment
  • Demonstrate proactive communication and problem solving
  • Responsible for supporting and achieving Value Improvement Projects (VIPs)
  • Responsible for adhering to FDA Design Control standards at all times
  • Generate technical documents reports equipment specifications and interpret technical drawings/schematics
  • Learn understand and apply rigorous quality standards Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)

What youll bring

  • Bachelors degree in engineering required (Mechanical Electrical or Computer degrees are preferred)
  • 1 or more years Engineering / Manufacturing experience FDA regulated preferred
  • Programming experience with automation controls PLCs and HMIs
  • Design software experience (like AutoCAD Solidworks etc.)
  • Project Management skills and experience (including Microsoft Project software) are a plus
  • Lean Manufacturing skills and experience are a plus
  • Ability to discuss normally encountered technical or project management issues both verbally and in written form
  • Ability to work as a collaborative team member
  • Ability to tackle routine design and engineering problems
  • Understand verbal and written safety and quality instructions and read and comprehend written work instructions including words and drawings
  • Must have basic English written and oral communication skills adequate to communicate with other team members
  • Must have basic programming proficiency and want to learn
  • Role will focus Allen Bradley Controls Rockwell Software (FactoryTalk View ME / SE) PowerFlex VFDs Wonderware etc.

At Baxterwe arecommitted toequitablepay for all employees and we strive to be moretransparentwith our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $72000 - $99000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location skills and expertise experience and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
