Amazon is looking for a Senior Product Manager - Technical to join the Smart Glasses team working to build new best-in-class consumer products. We are a customer-obsessed team working on big bets in an innovative environment. As a Senior Product Manager (Technical) on the Smart Glasses team you will own and lead the definition development and launch of future versions of smart glasses. Since this role is inherently cross-functional and highly visible to senior leadership you will work closely and communicate effectively with engineering/science design product operations and executive teams to drive successful outcomes across our roadmap.
A successful candidate will have a proven track-record of developing and shipping consumer products and features that deliver exceptional customer experiences. They are adept at both strategy and execution and are strong communicators (written and verbal). They are customer obsessed data-driven and embody a sense of urgency. They work collaboratively in a cross-functional fast-paced environment and are adept at synthesizing a variety of customer needs technologies and capabilities into products and experiences that customers love. They are also open to learning and working on various aspects of the product from hardware to software as the need arises.
Key job responsibilities
Lead the development and execution for future versions of smart glasses.
Develop crisp working backwards documents (PR-FAQs) and detailed product requirements that can be used to create product specifications and architecture.
Lead initiatives throughout various stages of the product lifecycle - from ideation to development to launch - while working cross-functionally across product engineering design operations and business teams with a hands-on execution-focused mindset to deliver the product to market.
Own and define the product roadmap based on team vision and strategy. Understand customer needs and identify opportunities to create or improve products and features. Champion and gain buy-in for the strategy and roadmap by influencing and effectively communicating with internal stakeholders and senior management.
Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impair the teams ability to meet strategic financial and technical goals.
Drive executive-level decision making and manage prioritization/trade-offs throughout the product lifecycle.
Stay closely connected to the latest developments in the smart glasses and wearable technology categories anticipating future trends and opportunities to drive innovation.
- 5 years of technical product or program management experience
- Bachelors degree
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
- MBA
- Product management (technical) experience shipping complex wearable hardware/technology products
- Experience building/using AI tools to enhance product management workflows

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
