Our new Seaport Dental Center opening April 2026 is looking for an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA). The Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) provides direct chair-side assistance to the Dentist in the delivery of high-quality patient centered dental services to patients of all addition to the duties of the Dental Assistant the EFDA may perform a number of additional specific procedures in accordance with applicable law.
PCHCs Seaport Dental Center is seeking a mission-driven EFDA to help establish our newly renovated 8-operatory practice located within Seaport Community Health Center anticipated to open in April 2026.
Schedule: Part-time (38 hours) Monday through Thursday 7:15 am to 5:30 pm. (Fridays and weekends OFF).
Offering a $3500 sign on / retention bonus for externally hired EFDAs.

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- State of Maine Dental Radiographer License required. Must obtain within 3 months if not current at hire.
- State of Maine Expanded Function Dental Assisting license required (requires CDA certificate or hygiene license successful completion of CODA-accredited or equivalent EFDA program and successful completion of jurisprudence exam).
- Will have up-to-date training and certification in Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association American Red Cross or American Health & Safety Institute. Must obtain within 2 weeks if not current at hire.
