Our client a trusted and reputable employer is seeking a detail-oriented
Data Entry Clerk to support their
Payroll Department on a
contract basis in
Dartmouth NS.
This is a six-month contract with strong potential to extend and offers a hybrid work schedule. This opportunity is ideal for a junior-level administrative professional who is highly accurate comfortable working with numbers and proficient in Excel. The role is well suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in precision and efficiency while contributing to a busy payroll team.
Key Responsibilities for the Job:- Data entry and administrative support for payroll processing
- Preparing reviewing and balancing payroll-related reports
- Drafting and reviewing documents with a strong focus on accuracy and error detection
- Enrolling employees into payroll and benefits systems
- Supporting payroll processes related to benefits and deductions
- Working within multiple systems while maintaining confidentiality and compliance
Experience & Attributes for Success:- Post-secondary education in Business Administration Office Administration Accounting Payroll or a related field or an equivalent combination of education training and hands-on experience
- Strong Excel skills including working with large-volume reports and numerical data
- Foundational understanding of payroll benefits and deductions
- Proactive go-getter attitude comfortable learning new systems and processes
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Fast accurate and well-organized work style
