Job Summary
A growing secondary school in Newark is looking to appoint a Geography ECT to join its Humanities faculty from January 2026. This is a school that takes pride in developing early career teachers through strong mentoring and a culture of collaboration.
The Geography department is friendly organised and well-resourced in terms of planning. The curriculum is knowledge-rich and carefully sequenced supporting ECTs with clear lesson structures while encouraging engaging delivery through case studies discussion and enquiry.
You will teach Geography across KS3 and KS4 with opportunities to observe experienced colleagues regularly and take part in joint planning sessions. Fieldwork and local geography are an important part of the curriculum and are well supported.
