Key Responsibilities

As a KS2 Teacher you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across all KS2 subjects

  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of SEND EAL and high-attaining pupils

  • Maintain a structured inclusive and stimulating classroom environment

  • Monitor pupil progress analyse assessment data and deliver targeted interventions

  • Encourage positive behaviour resilience and independence in pupils

  • Communicate effectively with parents carers and external agencies

  • Support school initiatives enrichment programs and extracurricular activities

  • Collaborate with colleagues teaching assistants and senior leaders to enhance teaching and learning standards

  • Contribute to school improvement plans curriculum development and leadership initiatives

  • Uphold professional standards safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times


Person Specification

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Have proven experience teaching Years 36 in a primary school setting

  • Be confident with classroom management and proactive in addressing challenges

  • Have experience supporting SEND and EAL pupils

  • Be enthusiastic adaptable and committed to pupil success

  • Possess strong communication teamwork and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrate creativity in lesson planning and teaching approaches

Desirable attributes include:

  • Experience leading a subject or school initiative

  • Knowledge of digital learning platforms and technology-enhanced teaching

  • Ability to contribute to extracurricular clubs and enrichment programs
