About the Role

A forward-thinking primary school in Shepherds Bush is seeking a dedicated Intervention Teaching Assistant to join its inclusive learning team. This role is focused on supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) through tailored interventions and classroom assistance. You will be responsible for providing 1:1 and small group support helping pupils to achieve academic and social-emotional outcomes.

The role requires a hands-on approach delivering interventions in literacy numeracy communication and emotional regulation. You will also assist teachers in adapting lessons and classroom activities ensuring all children have access to a differentiated and supportive learning environment.

  • Assist with lesson preparation and classroom activities ensuring differentiation for SEN pupils

Person Specification

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN and delivering targeted interventions

  • Excellent communication organisational and interpersonal skills

  • Patience adaptability and empathy for children with additional needs

  • Relevant qualifications such as Level 3 Teaching Assistant ELSA or SEN-specific training

Desirable: Knowledge of Talk Boost Lego Therapy Little Wandle or 1st interventions.
