Job Summary
We are delighted to invite applications for a committed and inspiring Year 2 Teacher to join our inclusive and supportive primary school community in Gravesend. This is a key role offering the chance to work with Key Stage 1 pupils as they consolidate their learning and prepare for transition to Key Stage 2.

As a Year 2 teacher you will deliver high-quality lessons across the curriculum creating engaging challenging and meaningful learning experiences. You will establish a calm structured and positive classroom environment where pupils feel safe valued and encouraged to achieve their best.
Assessment will play a vital role in your practice. You will track pupil progress identify gaps in learning and provide targeted support to ensure all pupils including those with SEND or EAL achieve strong outcomes. Differentiation and inclusion will be central to your approach.
You will collaborate with Key Stage 1 colleagues teaching assistants and senior leaders to ensure continuity and progression across the year group. Building strong relationships with parents and carers is highly valued supporting pupils academic and personal growth.

You will:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Year 2 curriculum
Create a positive inclusive and well-managed classroom
Use assessment to inform planning and track pupil progress
Support pupils academic social and emotional development
Work collaboratively with colleagues teaching assistants and families
