Key Responsibilities

As a Primary Teacher in this Bow / Bethnal Green school your responsibilities will include:

• Planning preparing and delivering engaging differentiated lessons across the curriculum in line with the National Curriculum

• Creating a safe stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners

• Monitoring pupil progress and adapting lessons to meet the needs of pupils with diverse abilities including SEN and EAL learners

• Maintaining high expectations for behaviour effort and achievement

• Supporting pupils social emotional and personal development alongside academic progress

• Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants SEN staff and senior leaders to provide targeted support

• Participating in pupil progress meetings interventions and whole-school initiatives

• Communicating effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil achievement and wellbeing

• Keeping accurate records of pupil progress attainment and behaviour

• Participating actively in staff meetings professional development sessions and school projects

• Upholding safeguarding child protection and school policies at all times

The Ideal Candidate

The school is seeking a Primary Teacher who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Has experience teaching in KS1 or KS2 (ECTs welcome)

• Demonstrates strong classroom management and consistently applies positive behaviour strategies

• Is committed to inclusive education and supporting pupils from diverse backgrounds

• Can differentiate lessons to meet the needs of individual learners

• Is reflective proactive and committed to professional growth

• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills with pupils parents and colleagues

• Works collaboratively within a supportive team environment

• Is passionate about making a difference in childrens lives

Experience supporting pupils with SEN EAL or additional learning needs is desirable but not essential.
