About the Role
As we continue scaling with embedded finance partners on a European level were looking for a Head of IT Operations. You hold an end-to-end responsibility for IT Operations and Support including operational security and regulatory compliance. You lead and develop the IT Operations and Support teams and day-to-day operations while meeting regulatory and security requirements such as Swedish FSA regulations DORA and ISO/IEC 27001.
This role combines leadership and operational excellence with high-impact communication skills and the ability to engage and align stakeholders in a complex regulated environment. You will build a resilient scalable IT Operations organization that safeguards critical services supports business growth and continuously strengthens Nordiskas operational and regulatory maturity. What Youll Do
As Head of IT Operations some of your key responsibilities are:
Build lead and develop a high-performing IT Operations and IT Support organization including recruitment onboarding performance management and continuous capability development.
Establish clear team structures roles responsibilities and ways of working to ensure accountability scalability and operational resilience.
Own IT Incident Management including response processes escalation root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
Run and continuously develop Security Operations and SOC capabilities ensuring effective monitoring detection and response to cyber threats in line with regulatory and internal security requirements.
Ensure IT operational compliance with applicable regulatory and security frameworks including access management segregation of duties audit readiness and internal governance standards.
Proactively identify and mitigate operational risks vulnerabilities and compliance gaps providing clear operational reporting and transparency to management.
Manage and own physical IT environments office infrastructure hardware lifecycle physical security controls access management backup and restore processes and formal reporting.
Were Looking for Someone who has
Strong understanding of IT service management incident management and operational risk ideally within fintech banking or other highly regulated environments.
Proven leadership experience by managing and developing teams.
Hands-on experience in driving operational excellence security controls and compliance programs including regulatory reviews risk assessments and remediation follow-up.
Solid knowledge of key regulatory frameworks and standards such as DORA ISO 27001 and GDPR and how to translate requirements into practical controls.
ITIL 4 Managing Professional or Strategic Leader certification is highly valued and considered a strong advantage for this role.
Excellent communication skills in both English and Swedish with experience presenting to senior stakeholders and non-technical audiences.
Experience from a tech-driven organization (preferred) where security enables delivery scalability and partner trust.
