Job Summary
Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Supervises nursing and support staff during assigned shifts and ensures safe quality care. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department.
Essential Functions Additional InformationPatient Populations Served: Neonate Infant Early Childhood Late Childhood Adolescent Young Adult Middle Adult Older Adult.
Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic Clinical Insurance Financial Complete Medical Record.
Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present for all employees.
Physical Requirements: Frequent standing walking lifting/moving patients and repetitive hand/arm movements. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards including blood and bodily fluids hazardous medications and latex.
Knowledge Skills & AbilitiesThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skills and/or abilities required.
Education: Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred.
License: /Certifications: Current RN license in state of practice; BCLS required; ACLS PALS and Handle with Care preferred.
