Your role as Community Engagement Advisor will have a positive impact in your local community and in turn the organisation through aligning activities to the branch business plan and building a pipeline of new prospects and opportunities.

In this dynamic and high-impact role youll make your mark by:

  • Co-ordinating and administrate community grants and sponsorship programs (including reporting and evaluation of these programs)
  • Promoting and communicating the community banking model to grant sponsorship applications for the community
  • Immersing yourself within the local community. Youll have a mind for networking and collaborations and will work with the board and branch management team to seek out nurture and organise community relationships partnerships and events
  • Telling our stories through various channels youll help spread the word and celebrate the work we do within the community.

This is a permanent part-time position located in Community Bank Diamond Creek with flexibility to work across branches in Hurstbridge Doreen Eltham Mernda & Kinglake.

The roster is 45 hours a fortnight with 3 days per week the details are Monday 08:45am to 5:15pm Tuesday 8:45am to 5:15pm & Wednesday 8:45 to 5:15pm.

The ability to occasionally attend community events outside of normal business hours is also a requirement of the role.

What youll bring to the role

To succeed in this role youll be a proud brand ambassador. Wed love you to have:

  • An understanding and established connection with the local community
  • Strong customer service and customer experience ethos
  • Ability to drive and maintain effective working relationships and networks
  • Effective communication skills to share our Community Bank story
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • You will be responsible for creating and posting content and driving engagement through various social media platforms
  • Ability to work independently and unsupervised
  • A background in the banking and finance industry is an advantage but not essential
  • Social media & Marketing experience
  • Confidence with technology and experience in digital platforms and creative/editing tools
