Job Title: Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant
Location: Huntington IN 46750
Shift Schedule:
Assignment Duration: 10 Weeks (with possible extension)
Pay Rate: $24.00/hour
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant to support both front- and back-office operations in a clinical setting. This role involves direct patient interaction clinical support and administrative responsibilities. Success in this position requires strong teamwork attention to detail and the ability to provide excellent patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Greet room and prepare patients for examinations
Schedule appointments and manage phone inquiries
Take and record vital signs
Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture
Administer vaccines and assist with point-of-care testing
Perform EKGs as required
Support providers with clinical and administrative tasks
Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
Collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative staff
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (excluding externships)
Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience required
Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
Strong attention to detail and effective patient communication skills
Proficiency with basic computer applications
Preferred Qualifications
Medical Assistant Certification
PhlebotomistCertification
Experience in Occupational Health settings
Must-Have Skills
Front- and back-office experience
Phlebotomy
EKG
Point-of-care (POC) testing
Scheduling and patient intake
Rooming patients and taking vitals
BLS or CPR certification
