Job Title: Commercial HVAC Equipment Estimator Project Bidding & Cost Analysis

Location: San Antonio TX

Salary: $70k - $110k base plus bonuses. Overall comp $150k

We are seeking a skilled Commercial HVAC Equipment Estimator to join our team. As a Commercial HVAC Equipment Estimator you will review mechanical plans and specifications provide equipment selections cost estimates and detailed proposals for commercial HVAC this Commercial HVAC Equipment Estimator role you will collaborate closely with sales engineering and project teams to ensure all mechanical plans are reviewed thoroughly and proposals meet client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze commercial mechanical plans and specifications to identify project requirements as a Commercial HVAC Equipment Estimator
Perform detailed equipment takeoffs for HVAC components such as chillers and air handling units
Select and configure HVAC components to optimize performance and cost-effectiveness
Develop accurate project proposals using estimating software
Identify potential risks in projects and develop strategies to mitigate them
Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure equipment selections meet client specifications
Participate in bid review meetings providing technical insights and risk assessments as a Commercial HVAC Equipment Estimator
Communicate effectively with internal teams clients and vendors to clarify proposal scope and resolve discrepancies

Required Skills & Qualifications:

3-5 years of experience as a Commercial HVAC Equipment Estimator
Applied estimating experience including chillers and air handling units is preferred
Bachelors degree in Engineering Industrial Distribution Construction Management or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems
Ability to interpret complex mechanical systems and specifications
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure and meet deadlines
Proficiency with estimating software and MS Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated proactive problem solver with a team-oriented mindset
