Taxable Securities Trader

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for trading assigned fixed income securities within approved policies.
• Communicate market related information to salesforce and management as directed.
• Management of position in the context of the market within approved policies.
• Generation of new trade ideas with the sales team.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills

MINIMUM:

• Understanding of Fixed Income Markets
• Ability for analytical thinking
• Ability to solve complex problems.
• Ability to work on a team.
• Ability to multi-task and achieve desired results.
• Applicable computer skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products

PREFERRED:

• Knowledge and understanding of fixed income securities.
• Familiarity with Bloomberg and the eTOMS format.

Requirements

MINIMUM:

• Bachelors degree or 4 years relevant work experience
• Knowledge and understanding of financial markets.
• Have appropriate licenses (i.e. FINRA Series 7 & 63) or obtain within 6 months after hire date.

PREFERRED:

• Appropriate licenses (i.e. FINRA Series 7 & 63)
• Prior Trading Desk Experience

Work Environment:

Fast paced trading desk; Travel may be required
