Position Objective:
The Seasonal Family Portrait Photographer is responsible for directing capturing and editingfamily portrait sessionsof Family Camp families ensuring they receive high-quality family photos with excellent customer service in a manner consistent with MHAs mission vision culture codeand standards of conduct.
General Qualifications:
The Seasonal Family Portrait Photographer is a Ministerial position. Ministerial staff render their work stewardship relationships and behavior as evidence of being followers of Jesus Christ while embracing and affirming Mount Hermon Association Inc.s (MHA) Christian mission vision beliefs culture code and standards of conduct. They are responsible for defining cultivating and leading MHAs Christian community conference programs and retreats. All staff are expected to join gatherings which includes prayer worship and Bible-centered teaching.
Key Job Accountabilities:
- Provide high quality images to families ensuring a high standard of customer service.
- Manage photography labor spending and productivity for assigned photographers.
- Communicate critical area and company updates to staff.
- Prepare and conduct routine performance reviews for photography staff.
- Develop manage and promote positive team culture
- Other duties as assigned.

QualificationsEducation/Certifications/Licenses:
- Education in Multiple Digital Outlets. (Photography and Design)
Work Experience:
- Experience working with guests or customers in a high volume capacity.
- Background in photography and visual composition.
- Proficient in Photoshop Light room and Illustrator.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to coordinate with families clearly and timely.
- Ability to establish priorities work independently and proceed with objectives without supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Knowledge/Proficiency in Photoshop and Photography.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to problem solve and have action plans when working with guests.
Physical Demands:
- Carry and set up equipment. (up to 50 pounds).
- Ability to stand and/or move for long periods.
Additional Requirements:
- Adherence to the basic principles as expressed in MHAs Mission Vision Culture Code and Standards of Conduct.
- Adherence to company dress code and professional standards for personal grooming and appearance.
- Satisfactory completion of background investigation or valid work permit as well as ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
2026 Dates:
- Meet with supervisor for trainingonce sometime during week of June 1-5th
- Work June 8-26 (Weeks 1-3 of camp)
- Off during the week of June 28 - July 4
- July 6-August 5th (Weeks 5-9 of camp)
- Option to come back for Labor Day Family Camp (over Labor Day Weekend) if the photographer is available.
Typical Weekly Schedule:
- Taking family portraits: Monday Tuesday Thursday Friday afternoons 1:005:00pm onsite at Mount Hermon 16 hours / week
- Editing/cataloging/uploading at photographers convenience with photos typically uploaded within one week of shoot date. Can be done remotely 1015 hours / week
- Helpful for photographer to be available during activity sign-up time if families have questions or need to change their appt: Monday mornings 10:3011:00am (if possible not mandatory) 30 mins
Gear and Equipment:
The photographer may use their own camera equipment if preferred but may also useMount Hermon camera equipment subject toavailability.
Adobe Creative Cloud license provided for editing in Lightroom Classic. Preferred for the photographer to use their own computer for editing but the potential use of Mount Hermon computer could be possible (subject toavailability).
