Job Summary
The job profile for this position is a Band 3 Reference Data Management Provider Data Analyst Role based in Bengaluru India.
Role Summary:
The Reference Data Management vertical is a critical piece of the Business Excellence organization in International Health Delivery Services (IHDS). Under the leadership of the Reference Data Management Senior Manager this vertical focuses on establishing the right operating processes controls standardization and strategic roadmaps pertaining to critical and prioritized reference data in IHs primary operating systems/platforms. One of the key datasets in scope will be Provider Data Management focusing on international Provider data within Cigna International Markets.
The Data Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring data integrity and driving actionable insights. This position focuses on analyzing datasets to identify gaps recommending corrective actions and prioritizing solutions that support business objectives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented highly analytical and comfortable working independently and cross-functionally.
Responsibilities:
Data Analysis & Quality Assurance
- Collect clean and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Perform root cause analysis on data discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain data quality metrics and dashboards.
Gap Identification & Risk Assessment
- Identify missing or incomplete data elements and assess the impact on business processes.
- Evaluate risks associated with data gaps and propose mitigation strategies.
Recommendations & Solution Design
- Translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to design and implement data improvement initiatives.
- Document proposed solutions and create implementation roadmaps.
Prioritization & Strategic Alignment
- Rank data issues based on business impact compliance requirements and urgency.
- Align prioritization with organizational goals and resource availability.
Reporting & Visualization
- Build interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI Tableau or Excel.
- Present insights to leadership and cross-functional teams in a clear and compelling manner.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with business units to understand data needs and pain points.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment.
7. Continuous Improvement & Governance
- Monitor data quality trends and proactively identify improvement opportunities.
- Support data governance initiatives including policy adherence and compliance checks.
8. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of data processes standards and best practices.
- Conduct training sessions or workshops to promote data literacy across teams.
Qualifications and skills:
- Strong proficiency in Excel (including advanced formulas and pivot tables) and experience with visualization tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in data analytics; healthcare or insurance industry experience preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight timelines.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of global teams across time zones.
