Job Summary
Job Summary
The Grease Processor is responsible for processing yellow grease and tallow including chemical injection according to management standards.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Nothing in this job description restricts managements right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
- Unloads unfinished grease from tankers or trap trucks into production tanks if processed on site; reloads grease onto tankers for processing off site.
- Fills work tank injects proper chemicals and applies steam to grease.
- Secures tank for proper settlement; drains water from work tanks and places finished product in storage tanks.
- Supervises the loading of tankers with finished grease.
- Cleans tankers grease cabinet storage tanks and grease unloading areas.
- Monitors filters lines and valves on tankers to ensure cleanliness and proper settings.
- Assists with the maintenance of plant wastewater system.
- All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Manufacturing industrial or agricultural experience preferred.
- NOTE: some weekend hours required.
Education/Experience Requirements
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Works well with others in a team environment.
- Dependable; reliable; ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed.
- Good math skills; able to add subtract multiply and divide whole numbers.
- Ability to follow both oral and written instructions.
Physical Demands
- Constantly required to walk stand sit climb balance stoop kneel crawl and crouch.
- Frequently lift push pull or carry up to 50 lbs.
- Regularly required reach with hands and arms.
Work Environment
Job functions will be carried out in a plant environment with changing climate.
