Hatchery Truck Driver

Full Time Hourly

At Hormel Foods base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $24.25 - $34.00 per hour and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge skill set level of experience and geographic market location.

Must possess a current Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with no restrictions & current DOT medical exam certificate

Applicants must not now or at any time in the future require employer sponsorship for a work visa.
Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
Must be 18 years of age or older

Job Responsibilities:

Delivery of day-old turkey poults to various company and contract turkey farms
Driving to pick up egg racks from farms and hatcheries.
Maintain accurate mileage and drivers logs
General maintenance on the truck including inspections fueling cleaning sanitizing
Being able to push 1000 lb egg racks on wheels.
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines
Follow all biosecurity guidelines
Conduct self in a positive team oriented manner

Minimum Qualifications:

Have a current Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
Posses a current medical card
At least 21 years old
Be able to read write and communicate in the English Language
Have 1 year or more of verifiable professional driving experience or be able to provide a certificate from an accredited driver training program
Have an acceptable driving record
You must not have had an OWI conviction in the past 5 years or have one now pending
Good communication and customer service skills
