Were hiring a Therapeutic Specialist-Case Manager to join us at The Learning Tree childcare facility at 1591 Taos Rd in Pueblo.
What Youd Be Doing
As Therapeutic Specialist-Case Manager you would be working closely with childcare teaching staff and Early Childhood specialists to provide specialized support and treatment to young children experiencing social/emotional/behavioral challenges or those in high-stress situations that put them at risk for experiencing similar challenges. Your primary activities would be performed in the organic environment of the childcare classroom as an enhancement of the childs childcare day. If you are passionate about interacting with young children to help them better interact in the work around them this is the position for you.
RESPONSIBILITIES: As a Therapeutic Specialist-Case Manager under the supervision of the Director and Supervisor you will:
:
- working directly with identified children to model self-regulation skills
- utilizing emotion-focused language to assist children in expressing their feelings
- providing support for children during transitions throughout the school day
- providing de-escalation to children overwhelmed and assist them in maintaining safety and avoiding higher levels of care
- assisting children with impulse control skills
- utilizing the language of pay to enhance childrens social/emotional well-being
- maintaining accurate complete and up-to-date written and electronic records
- providing exceptional clinical care to all clients
- responsible for timely documentation of clinical service
- participating in team meetings and in case staff meetings and consults with other team members as needed
- working collaboratively with community agencies and partners
- performing other job-related responsibilities as assigned.
Physical requirements include the following:
- Requires standing and sitting for prolonged periods of time
- Requires occasional walking
- Occasionally lifts and carries items up to 20 pounds
- Requires working under stress in emergency situations
- Requires occasional driving at times in adverse weather conditions
- Requires frequent use of a computer
