JOB INFORMATION

Title: Summer MAC Driver/Floater

Work Duration: Monday-Friday hours from 8:30-5:30 End of May until mid-August.

Salary: Starting at $13.00 an hour depending on experience

Supervisor: Works under the Summer MAC Site Supervisor and Recreation Supervisor and/or Recreation Supervisor Asst.

Benefits: Seasonal employees that work 40 hours consistently shall receive free use of Park District facilities during their time of employment.

JOB SUMMARY

The central role of the summer MAC driver/floater is to transport children in the summer MAC program to and from sports and activities through Mandan Parks and Recreation and transport them to and from field trips. When they are not driving they will be assigned to a classroom to help assist out with the classroom teachers daily plans. They will also be available when needed at any time. They will also assist with monitoring breakfast and cleaning the cafeteria. They must drive cautiously and obey traffic procedures. They will also keep the children safe and help handle any behaviors that may arise. The summer MAC driver/floater will need to build relationships with children parents staff and school employees.

Qualifications

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Must be 18 years of age or older
Must be able to work 40 hours a week for most of the summer
Must be willing to drive a 15-passenger van
Ability to maintain 1^st Aid/CPR training course through Mandan Park District
Experience working with elementary children
Must be willing to help in the classrooms where is needed whenever you are not transporting children
Outgoing and fun personality
Attend to injured/hurt children
