- Implement the community engagement strategy includingstaff engagementfor the Foodbanks major campaigns including Harvest for Hunger and the Holiday Campaign.
- Attendexternal eventsas a representative of the organization to build visibility expand the network ofengagedprospectsand strengthen relationships in the presentationsto community groupsschoolsand businesses to educate them on hunger issues and encourage involvement.
- Serve as a main point of contact forspeakersbureauand tabling requests. Coordinate with prospects to fulfillrequests themselvesor recruitan appropriate staffmemberor volunteer.
- Work collaborativelywith fundraising marketingvolunteerandprogramsteams to align community engagement strategies with organizational goals.
- Work collaboratively withcorporate major gift officersto ensure corporate donors and their executives are being cultivatedsolicitedand stewarded tosustainyear over regularly to discussmovesmanagement.
- Provide excellentstewardshipto campaign and event participants by sharing stories of impact and providing campaign updates and program outcomes. Collaborate withDonorServices Team to ensure that all donations aredocumented andacknowledgedappropriately in a timely manner.
- Support Foodbankfundraising eventsby seeking sponsorships securing auctionitemand in-kind donations coordinating eventparticipationandassistingwith eventlogistics.
- Support and implement activities forcause marketingandpoint of purchasecampaigns including but not limited to Check Out Hunger.
- Maintainaccuraterecordsof donor interactions food drivedataand event participation in Raisers Edge. Preparereportssummarizing engagement metricstrendsand recommendations for improvement.
- Support volunteer and guest engagement activities including support of front desk coverage andoccasionalevening and Saturdayvolunteer activities.
- Independently manage special projects as assigned and performother dutiesasrequired.
Required Qualifications (knowledge skills abilities competencies) - Bachelors degree preferablyin business management communicationsmarketingor non-profit management.
- 2-5years of fundraisingsalesor administrative support experience in mid-to-large non-profit organizations.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills including the ability to write and speak clearly and effectively
- and to deliver compelling coherent messages in one-to-one smallgroupand large group settings. A communication style that is open cordial empatheticwarmand persuasive. Good listener and consensus-builder.
- Ability to network effectively with individuals and businesses at all levels.
- Natural collaborator with the ability to work with individuals from various backgrounds on projects to gather information relevant to the work.
- Critical problem solver with the ability to concisely convey perspectives.
- Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to complete projects ona timelybasis and to manage multiple priorities and balance competing priorities.
- Possess confidence in using and learning various forms of technology and digital platforms.
- Ability and willingness to travelprimarilywithin the 8-county service regionbut also including occasional out-of-state conferencesseminarsor workshops.
