Job Summary
DEKA offers Internships and Co-Ops for full time students* (must be at least 18 years of age). Internships last a minimum of 10 weeks 12 summerinternships must start no later than June 15 2026.
How you will make an impact as an Embedded Software Engineering Intern:
- Use software engineering knowledge to solve issues found in embedded and test software
- Improve automated testing through investigation and code debugging
- Perform verification and validation activities using automated software testing and test fixtures
- Support development of software
- Learn software processes
- Must be currently enrolled in aComputer Science Software Engineering or equivalent degree program
- Must have an understanding of and experience with embedded software and basic computer networking
- Must have C programming experience
- Must be familiar with Linux
- Have successfully completed at least one year of programming course(s)
- Must be a self-starter eager to contribute in a team environment
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be detail oriented
- Experience with OpenVPN Yocto Python Bash Git and advanced computer networking is a plus
- Involvement with First Robotics is a plus
- Interest in personal embedded projects is a plus
