As part of our Manufacturing team youll help build the world-class state-of-the-art smart vehicles were known our plants around the world were constantly developing new technologies and processes to further increase our efficiency. Youll get the satisfaction of making great products people use and love.

This position provides an exciting opportunity as a leader in the Powertrain Manufacturing Engineering (PTME) Organization

Lead an engineering team to design build and implement future model power electronics programs for Hybrid and EV vehicles.



Responsibilities

What youll do:

  • Ensure process facilities equipment and tooling are provided for new programs in accordance with Powertrain Standards Bill of Process (BOP) Procedures and Guidelines and Global Product Development System (GPDS) requirements.
  • Develop Power Electronics BoP Standards
  • Drive Simultaneous Engineering activities cost studies and investment efficiency activities to meet targets
  • Deliver Quality Operation Systems (QOS) requirements through Failure Mode Avoidance Dynamic Control Planning and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (e.g. FMA DCP FMEAs SCCAF etc.)
  • Develop workplans to deliver programs and projects
  • Utilize Lessons Learned / Continuous Improvement Process
  • Perform supervisory duties (individualized objective setting and alignment to strategic action plans check-ins performance reviews travel requests timecard approvals compensation planning) for all personnel assigned.
  • Lead mentor coach counsel recognize and motivate employees
  • Assess employee competencies and support individual development plans support employee growth through training classes and development assignments
  • Provide plant assistance for ongoing kaizen events and extraordinary quality/downtime challenges


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical Industrial OR Electrical preferably) AND minimum of five (5) years experience in Manufacturing
  • Manufacturing experience in Assembly or Machining process engineering and New Programs / Launches (Engine Transmission Power Unit or Axle)

This position is leadership level 6 and ranges from $60.
