Work Type: Contractor Onsite
Pay Rate: $20.00 / hr
Hours: 1st shift Mon-Fri start between 6:00 AM - 8:00 AM occasional OT
Temp-to-hire role

Summary
The Storeroom Attendant is an individual contributor positioned within a customers location to fulfill daily receiving stocking issuing and cycle counting of customer and/or Vallen inventory. They are responsible for maintaining a professional clean and organized work environment.

Required:
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must show U.S. passport or certified birth certificate with raised seal on day one
Client-specific background screening required (see Background Checks section)
See attached onboarding/badging process document

Additional Notes:
Responsible for managing and accurately counting Vallen inventory
AS 400 or ERP experience ideal but not required
MRO experience a plus
May fill vending machines on customer site
Customer service skills required
Computer skills required
Will use push cart/pallet jack
Professionalism required
Candidate should have storeroom/warehouse experience computer savvy strong communication skills customer facing solid work ethics team player motivated to learn and take initiative
Safety shoes required

Responsibilities
Unloads receives and puts away incoming product goods tools and/or equipment; unpacks bales crates and other containers; checks for damage and discrepancies between goods and invoices
Accurately sorts labels moves and stores items; places material/items on racks shelves or bins according to predetermined sequence such as size style or product codes; arranges storage to optimize crib space
Issues product goods tools and/or equipment to site employees; documents and maintains accurate records for issued and returned items
Enters data into database or other computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records; retrieves stored information to respond to inquiries (e.g. inventory levels delivery schedules); documents discrepancies on an error log and seeks management advice on corrective action
Requests requisitions to replenish inventory
Assists with inventory level maintenance; performs cycle counts and prepares report results
Inspects and measures tools/equipment for defects wear and tear and reports damage or wear to supervisors
Prepares periodic inventory or maintains perpetual inventory of supplies and equipment
Delivers tools or equipment to associate work locations
Investigates and locates lost or misplaced equipment or safety supplies
May repair service and lubricate tools and equipment as required
Performs other related duties as requested

Job Qualifications:
3 months relevant experience and/or training; High school diploma or equivalent preferred (not required)
Relevant experience and/or aptitude should include:
Loading unloading picking packing or moving goods in a warehouse environment
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules work orders operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
Basic computer knowledge and proficiency or technical aptitude to learn; preferred skills include MS-Office Vista Control SX.e Prophet 21
Basic mathematical skills (add subtract multiply divide compute rate ratio percent)
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work in a team environment and be self-motivated
Attention to detail and safety-mindedness

Work Environment & Physical Demands:
May be required to wear protective equipment (shoes gloves eyewear etc.)
May need to pass warehouse equipment certifications (written and/or driving)
Assigned work shifts may vary/rotate
Overtime may be required; extended day evening and weekend work possible with little or no notice
Must handle physical inventory; lift up to 25 lbs or greater with assistance following safety procedures
Other physical requirements include standing walking kneeling bending crouching crawling climbing and balancing
Close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus required
