Job Overview
The Manager of Marketing & Communications is responsible for leading all canfitpro marketing efforts including brand image and corporate marketing strategy. This role is responsible for the development and management of day-to-day communication and marketing projects with the primary objective of increasing sales and engagement through social media website email SEO programmatic ads and other emerging marketing channels. This role includes the planning directing and coordinating of marketing strategies with the management team within the context of canfitpros purpose and vision.
Key Responsibilities
1. Collaborates with the Director of Business Growth to define canfitpros digital marketing strategy.
Leads the team in developing and executing on the delivery of canfitpros digital and email marketing strategy and systems integrations based on the annual operating plan and calendar
Oversees the execution of organizational priorities through digital marketing channels and email campaigns to ensure their success through KPIs timeline budget and scope while meeting business and marketing objectives. This includes social media email marketing and content marketing.
Responsible for the planning execution and ongoing optimization of social email content marketing and digital media channels while continuing to test new growth channels to optimize performance
Oversees the maintenance and updating of social media and email channel strategies by the team.
Shares implications from social/digital insights and learnings to develop a continuously improved cycle.
Collaborates with media team on overall media strategy to ensure alignment between all media channels and optimize digital performance and return on ad spend.
Oversees the planning and execution of social media content for always-on brand and activation marketing to ensure consistent brand identity optimized engagement and alignment with overall marketing strategies
2. Manages direct reports and the people requirements of the Team using provided tools and resources to ensure the successful execution of all key responsibilities and tasks retention of great talent and high Associate engagement.
Facilitates recruitment of direct reports alongside the People & Culture Department to ensure adequate resourcing based on approved Team budget.
Leads the onboarding coaching learning development and performance management of all direct reports to ensure a positive and safe working experience.
Fosters collaboration among teams and facilitates brainstorms think tanks and ideation sessions that drive creativity innovation and idea generations
3. Actively collaborates and strategizes cross-functionally to ensure alignment and efficiency in marketing efforts with other areas of the business.
Works with the Director of Business Growth and other members of the canfitpro Leadership Team on updated brand book voice/tone and ongoing evaluation and evolution of creative look/feel and voice/tone.
Works collaboratively with marketing team and product teams to develop integrated marketing campaigns and product campaigns
Works with Legal Public Relations Member Experience Departments and all operating business units to provide expertise and insights on best practices.
Provides ongoing education to the organization on digital execution campaign results and key learnings.

Education
Minimum Required: Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in Marketing and/or Communications
Work Experience
Minimum Required:
5 years experience in a marketing supervisor or management role
5 years in digital marketing communications or related disciplines Preferred: 2 years in B2B Sales Leadership and Management
Preferred:
2 years Managing Projects including budgets
Experience and interest in the fitness industry
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Minimum Required:
Proven marketing success in driving revenue & profitability and engagement
Strong understanding of digital marketing including SEM SEO social media programmatic for advertising and generating sales
Ability to excel in a team environment to ensure seamless collaboration
Build strong relationships with all levels of the organization as well as external partners sponsors vendors and contractors
Excellent time management planning and organizational skills
Deep understanding of marketing funnels through automation drips nurture journeys and proven ability to increase lead capture and reduce churn
Preferred:
Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications marketing automation platforms CRMs (MS Dynamics) social media managers WordPress

Compensation:
It is expected that the selected candidate will start at a base salary of $78000. This position is eligible for bonuses in addition to the base salary. The annual range of expected compensation for the position is $78000 - $110000 determined by performance time in the position and variable compensation earned.This job posting is for an existing vacancy.
