Position Summary
The School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) provides evaluation diagnosis and treatment services to students with speech language voice fluency and communication disorders. This role requires in-person service delivery and close collaboration with educators families and multidisciplinary school teams to support students academic and functional communication success.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct speech and language evaluations and re-evaluations
Develop implement and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Provide direct speech-language therapy services to assigned students
Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Collaborate with teachers special education staff administrators and families
Participate in IEP meetings parent conferences and multidisciplinary team discussions
Maintain accurate timely documentation and student records
Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations
Support classroom strategies to enhance communication outcomes
Maintain a safe inclusive and student-centered learning environment
Student Population
Required Qualifications
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
Active Colorado State Speech-Language Pathologist license
Colorado Department of Education (CDE) certification required
Ability to work independently in a school-based environment
Strong communication organization and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
Prior school-based SLP experience
Experience working with IEP teams and special education services
Familiarity with school-based documentation systems
Professional Competencies
Student-centered and family-focused approach to care
Effective collaboration with multidisciplinary school teams
Strong time-management skills in a part-time schedule
