Job Summary

This is a remote position.

Job Title: Backend Developer (TypeScript)

Location: Portugal

Work Regime: Full-time & Remote (can work remotely from any portuguese region)

Responsibilities and Tasks:

Advance AI Frontier: Directly contribute to the training of state-of-the-art LLMs by generating high-quality code samples for Motoko an underrepresented language.
Contribute to Training Efforts: Your expertise and contribution will help us to advance training efforts through Supervised Fine-Tuning (SFT) Direct Preference Optimization (DPO) and Reinforcement Learning (RL).
Shape a Language: Use your backend experience to provide critical feedback that will validate and improve paradigms within the Motoko programming language and its core data structure library.
Bridge Engineering & AI: Act as a subject matter expert ensuring that the synthetic and human-generated data used for training reflects best-in-class engineering principles

Requirements

Mandatory Requirements:

Engineering Depth: Mid-level experience in backend development with a strong command of Object-Oriented (OO) patterns.
CS Fundamentals: Proficiency in Data Structures and Algorithms; you understand not just how to use them but how to optimize them for specific constraints.
Language Expertise: Proficient in at least one of the following: Java C# or TypeScript (TypeScript being preferable)
Architectural Fluency: Solid understanding of domain-cutting paradigms specifically Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
Quality Mindset: A passion for writing clean idiomatic code that serves as a gold standard for others (and machines) to follow.
